We’re moving production of our hedging and forestry products from rented land east of York to land we own close to our HQ here in the Vale of York in order to make production and dispatch more efficient. The move – which is already being implemented - follows a year-long feasibility study and a major investment to prepare the land for production.  To support the new production site we have also centralized order fulfillment by building a dedicated facility for collating, labelling and packing customer orders at our  main nursery.

Nothing pleases clients more than instant impact in the garden or landscape. Two species that make a particular contribution at this time of year are Hamamelis and Skimmia - we have both in abundance in all sizes.

The 2010/11 season marks the start of a substantial upgrade to our retail offer and to reflect that we have improved our catalogue to make pre-ordering far simpler.  More important, the new catalogue features our new Plantsman branding for all our retail ranges, which will include new labelling for Prestige and Patio Perfect plants for spring 2011.

Any chef will tell you that to create the best dishes you need the finest ingredients. So it is with flower arrangements  - which is why we’re proud to report that Cornus stems cut from our nursery played a major part in the Autumn Almanac display created by members of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies which won a Gold medal at the RHS London Autumn Harvest Show.

We have a full bare root hedging and tree offer for despatch now. All the native species are available in abundance – most stock grown from seed of native provenance.
