Growth in a pot – and much, much more
Mycorrhiza Roots is a soluble powder in a 454g plastic re-sealable bag that you mix in water (at the rate of 454g to 500 litres). This working solution can be injected in to the soil or sprayed on loose medium and mixed in. It contains the widest available range of Micorrhizae spores to suit all plant species.
The broad spectrum application increases nutrient uptake and enhances root systems to help rapid plant establishment. A faster rate of growth means a happier customer – and more recommendations!
What your business can learn from your local bookshop
John Stanley, one of the most respected experts in retailing, flags up some useful ideas for garden centre owners in his latest newsletter by pointing to the lessons to be learned from monitoring activity in sectors different to our own and learning lessons from them.

Harness the power of local!
New research from the HTA highlights the way in which the appeal of locally sourced goods and services has come to the fore as British consumers have responded to the recession of 2008/09 and remains a powerful force as we enter the ‘tens’. This appeal is closely linked to the ‘Authentiseeking’ and ‘Cult of the home’ trends which are tracked by the Future Foundation, one of the HTA’s research partners.
Trolley good show
We have grown a range of 2 litre shrubs in a coloured pot of their choice for one of our multiple customers and a start has been made on despatching some of them.
This is a particularly demanding logistical exercise since the plants have been grown at several of our production sites, then returned to our Newlands despatch facility for "prepping": labelling and trolleying-up in mixed trolleys, each with the same mix of varieties on it. The plants will be displayed on these trolleys in-store.
